It was originally designed to be a free way for the industry to advertise their used laboratory equipment directly to the community.

7. Buyers and sellers can transact business confidentially and amongst themselves

There are no auctions. You can contact sellers directly, ask questions,and conduct business as you see fit. Registered members have the option of listing their items and not displaying their contact information if they choose. Those listing anonymously can be contacted via a masked email address.

8. No annoying pop-up or blinking ads

We allow some relevant advertising on the site to fund development and pay staff. Companies in the Life Science Directory can post small advertisements on the right hand side of the categories and search pages. These companies can also upgrade their listings to include more information about themselves.

9. Our listings are detailed

Members can post as much information as they want about their equipment, events, jobs, and services. They can post it in multiple relevant categories. Adding images is free. Companies and individuals can also add a company banner to their listing, a full company description, and a link to their webpage. Our community needs detailed information to make good decisions so, as always, these features are completely free.

10. There is no catch

We simply wanted to create something useful for the life science community.

Friends and colleagues told us they were having trouble selling their used life science equipment themselves, so we created this site so they could do it for free. The mission expanded when others told us that they had similar problems connecting with others in the life science community.
